2025 GCMA WESSEX SPRING MEETING – GOLF RESULTS

The Regional AGM and Spring Meeting took place at High Post GC on Monday 28th April, members were joined by Ray Grant the new National Captain and presentations were shared by Chris Tyrrell from Clubnet and Richard Knight from Nextrasoft. Ray gave an insight into his aims during his year as Captain in particular his passion to tackle the issue of Prostate Cancer, sharing an initiative that he would encourage all clubs to take up – details attached.

The AGM followed, thank you to everyone that took the time to attend and vote and also to those that put themselves forward for a role on the regional committee which is now at full strength and positions us well for the coming year. After a short lunch the competition for the Secretary’s Trophy commenced in super conditions.

The current holder Adam Stordy had returned the trophy saying his wife was glad to see the back of it so it was up for grabs along with prizes for 2nd/3rd and NTP on all par 3’s. Very strong scoring on the front 9 set expectations high for the overall scores but the back 9 saw a number fall away. Retiring to the bar and subsequent superb 2 course meal, the results were collated:-
